Toolkit "YouthSocialAct - Youth Engagement in Initiatives

INTRODUCTION

An interesting and useful publication has been developed by the Social Policy and Action Organization, specifically a Toolkit entitled "YouthSocialAct - Youth Engagement in Initiatives Supporting Equality for All and Promoting Social Change. 

 

The publication includes suggested original and innovative non-formal educational methods and tools, used in youth work, practically developed and implemented during this project. All methods and tools can be adopted and utilized by Youth Organizations to a) empower and support their staff and volunteers on a personal level and b) enhance skills, abilities and competences.

PURPOSE AND AIMS OF THE TOOLKIT

The Toolkit represents a resource booklet, which has been developed and published, as one of the end results of the project entitled "YouthSocialAct: Youth Engagement in Initiatives Supporting Equality for All and Promoting Social Change”, funded by the Erasmus + Programme of the European Union. The Toolkit includes suggested non-formal educational methods and tools, used in youth work, practically developed and implemented during this project. All methods and tools can be adopted and utilized by Youth Organizations to a) empower and support their staff and volunteers on a personal level and b) enhance skills, abilities and competences.

 

STRUCTURE OF THE TOOLKIT

 

The structure of the Toolkit was developed based on the content and the issues presented during the Training Course "YouthSocialAct: Youth Engagement in Initiatives Supporting Equality for All and Promoting Social Change”. In order to provide a more concrete work the Toolkit is divided into Chapters, each including the following:  Definitions of terms and concepts as expressed officially by key European and international organizations.  Detailed description of non-formal educational methods and tools under each chapter, including type, aim, objectives, step-by-step implementation instructions as well as sample questions for debriefing at the end of each session.  The Toolkit includes Appendixes connected with methods and tools presented under the different chapters, information and contact details of all project partner organizations and References.
