Chiang Mai, Thailand is a popular hub for digital nomads and remote business owners. Beautiful weather, lots of activities, and low prices attract "foreigners" from all over the world. The first remote worker I came across was the City Hostel communal / communal living space. There were more than 15 young people working on laptops during the day and exploring Thailand at night. There were many opportunities to network with people across industries. I met e-commerce business owners, SEO experts, yoga studio owners, freelance writers and more. I attended seminars and workshops and formed business partnerships with other entrepreneurs.
